“Why do you take so many pictures?”
For me, the answer is simple.
A photograph is more than a picture. It’s a doorway back to that exact moment.
One photograph can bring back the sound of your child’s laugh, the way your best friend wrapped you in a hug, the excitement of a marriage proposal, or the peaceful feeling of standing in a field while the sun warmed your face.
It’s like hearing a favorite song from years ago that instantly transports you back to a season of your life, or catching the smell of cookies baking in the kitchen and, for just a moment, being back with Grandma.
A good photograph doesn’t just show you what something looked like—it reminds you what it felt like just as much as what it looked like.
A photograph lets you relive the joy, the tenderness, the laughter, the quiet moments, and even the ordinary days that become extraordinary.
That’s why I take so many photographs.
Not because I’m afraid of forgetting.
But because some moments deserve to be revisited.
